The beautiful love child of a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie.

It is hard to choose between a blondie and a brownie because both are so beautiful in its own ways. If you are completely team brownie, these brown butter blondies might just change your mind. I am an absolute sucker when it comes to anything brown butter in a baking recipe. It just makes any recipe that much better.

What is brown butter?

Believe it or not-- brown butter is butter that is browned. In order to achieve brown butter, place your butter in sauce pan over medium heat. This process takes anywhere between 5-10 minutes. Make sure you stir the butter throughout so it doesn't burn. Once the butter is successfully browned and smells nutty you are done! Place in a bowl and let it cool down for 10 minutes.

What is the hype about brown butter?

If I have the option (and extra time) I would bake with brown butter for every recipe. It adds a depth of caramel & nutty flavor to your dessert.

What type of chocolate is in this?

For this triple chocolate chip recipe you guessed it I used three different types of chocolate. I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and dark chocolate chunks.
