  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons red food coloring gel

  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cheesecake:

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature

  • 1 egg

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Why Perfect for Valentine's Day:

These decadent bars are a delightful way to show your love, with their rich red color and luxurious cheesecake swirls making them an ideal Valentine's Day treat.

The Magic of Brown Butter:

Brown butter adds a depth of flavor and nutty aroma to the brownie layer, elevating these bars to bakery-worthy status. It's made by cooking butter until its milk solids brown, enhancing its taste and lending a unique richness to baked goods.

Instructions:

Browning the Butter:

1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.

2. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, until the butter turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Making the Brownie Layer:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8x8 inch baking dish.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled brown butter with sugar. Mix until well combined.

3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring gel until fully incorporated.

5. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.

6. Pour two-thirds of the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Preparing the Cheesecake Layer:

1. In another bowl, beat the room temperature cream cheese until smooth.

2. Add the egg, sugar, and vanilla extract, and continue beating until creamy and well combined.

3. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the brownie layer in the baking dish.

Creating the Swirl:

1. Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer.

2. Use a knife or spatula to gently swirl the brownie and cheesecake layers together, creating a marbled effect.

Baking and Chilling:

1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

2. Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight, before slicing.

3. Slice into bars, serve chilled, and indulge in the irresistible combination of red velvet and cheesecake bliss!

Get ready to impress your Valentine (or yourself) with these irresistible Red Velvet Brownie Cheesecake Bars. Bake, chill, and savor every decadent bite! šŸ’–šŸ° #ValentinesDayTreat #BakingLove #BrownButterMagic
